Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a condition in which the flow of air you are breathing pauses or decreases due to a narrowed, blocked or floppy airway while sleeping. These pauses are called “apneas” and can contribute to cardiopulmonary disorders and neurocognitive deficits if left untreated.
Below you will find a quick 8 question screening tool used by sleep experts to determine if you may be at risk for "Obstructive Sleep Apnea." If you answer yes to 3 or more questions, you are considered to be at risk for OSA and should be tested as soon as possible. If you answer less than 3 questions with a yes, you are considered low-risk for OSA and should consider a sleep consultation with a Sleep Specialist to review your symptoms and options.
After you complete the questionnaire click the "Calculate" button and you will be provided with your result score ("STOP-BANG SCORE") and instructions on what to do next.
